Dated back from 1993, it has been found that sleep is not only unnecessary, but a complete waste of time. Who needs sleep slowing you down and getting in one’s way? The average amount of night time expense is roughly between 7-9 hours a night…A NIGHT! All that time could be spent on all those chores you said you were “going to do later”, or getting that homework assignment done. Maybe it is even getting time to go to the gym for that New Years resolution. This improves the overall quality of life. Socially, there is just more time for friends and parties as well as catching up on that Netflix special. The point behind all this is the fact sleep only drags you down and gets in the way. As the author, I am awake for 6 straight days and sleep for only 20 minutes on day 7. Giving up only a few measly minutes to have days in a row is way worth it. As far as feeling tired is concerned, that is what caffeine and sugar are for. The body is meant to handle extreme conditions and it is more than capable of staying awake for long periods of time. Being tired is only an excuse that holds the human race back from accomplishing more. Another excellent point to bring up is income. All the time that is spent sleeping could be hours on the clock making extra money you probably were saving for that wild spring break trip to Cancun. With sleep out of the way, there is no limit as to what could be accomplished. Slumber is a thing in the past and without it’s utter nonsense, a more productive future is within reach.
